Ángela C. Santamaría is a researcher at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Engineering at the University of Vigo. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering specialized in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela (2008) and a Master ́s degree in Analytical and Bioanalytical Sciences from the University of Oviedo (2013).
She has several years of experience as an analytical technician in the waste to energy sector working in different biodiesel, waste and wastewater treatment plants around the United Kingdom. She also worked in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Bath (UK) giving analytical support to the students.
She is currently part of the GESSMin research group at the University of Vigo. Her research is focused on the conservation, cleaning, and protection of urban murals, specifically the study of the efficiency of cleaning products for vandal paintings, urban murals aging due to climate change and their protection against solar radiation.
