Pablo Barreiro Castro

Pablo Barreiro Castro is an Industrial Technical Engineer specializing in mechanics from the Universidade de Vigo (2002). Industrial Organization Engineer from the University of Vigo (2009), Master in Applied Physics from the University of Vigo (2011). Currently he works as a laboratory technician in the applied physics department of the same university in the area of research on laser applications. In addition, he is carrying out his PhD thesis in the field of laser applications in the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage, specifically in the cleaning and characterization of biological patinas on schist and granite rocks from the archaeological parks of Foz-Côa (Portugal) and Siega Verde, in Salamanca (Spain).

He belongs to the FA3 New Materials Research Group -Universidade de Vigo, with lines of research developed in biomaterials and biomedicine, semiconductors and surface processing, chemical optical materials and cultural heritage. He is a coauthor of 5 research papers in scientific journals and several communications in national and international conferences.
